The MNA and PCS are both part of National World. The MNA is Britain’s largest independent regional news publisher and can trace its roots back to the 1870’s. Today it reaches one million people every week through a variety of news and magazine titles plus digital services. Committed to high quality print while growing successful online platforms, the MNA remains the leading source of news for the Black Country and Shropshire.

The MNA has been group partners with PCS since inception and uses the full Knowledge portfolio.

National Farmers Union

The National Farmers Union has been partnering with PCS since 2018. Established in 1908 it is the most successful representation body for agriculture and horticulture with members covering two-thirds of the agricultural land in England and Wales. It has an in-house portfolio of magazines with a print circulation of more than 100,000 as well as 100,000 online monthly unique users. Its titles range from British Farmer & Grower magazine to Horticulture magazine and the Countryside Online website.

The NFU use Knowledge Publish, which is a powerful solution that enhances an editorial team’s productivity.

They have future proofed the business by getting rid of manual processes, which has facilitated remote working. It has enabled them to work more efficiently with their current partners.

Newsquest

Newsquest has partnered with PCS since 2012. They are one of the largest regional media groups in the UK and boast over 200 news brands, magazines and trade publications. Their online users average around 34 million per month with print readership at six million per month. Newsquest was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1997 and today it is part of US news publisher Gannett.

Newsquest use Knowledge Publish, which is our content management system, and our circulation solution known as NCS.

Highland News & Media

Highland News & Media has partnered with PCS since 2018. Formerly SPP Media Group, it is a privately-owned company producing 18 weekly newspapers serving the north and north-east of Scotland. They also publish other specialist titles such as business and lifestyle magazines and many publications for the tourism industry. They have offices across Scotland in Inverness, Elgin and Caithness.

Highland News & Media use our solutions across their editorial, advertising and finance teams.

These solutions enable significant efficiencies across the organisations and allow satellite offices to easily work remotely.

Working closely with some of the country’s leading publishers means we always have our finger on the pulse. Our systems are created to adapt to change, and that includes remote working. Our Knowledge software suite means that publishers are equipped with everything they need for their employees to work anywhere in the world and still be an integral part of the workplace.

DC Thomson

DC Thomson has partnered with PCS since 2016 and is one of the leading media organisations in the UK. Headquartered in Dundee, Scotland, it also has a London base in Fleet Street. The company’s publishing origins can be traced back to 1886 when it acquired the Dundee Courier. DC Thomson publishes newspapers and magazines, and has diversified into new media, digital technology, retail and television interests.

They currently use NCS, which includes Paid For and Direct Delivery modules. They will soon be going live with Knowledge Prospect Finance.

DC Thomson can seamlessly manage customer accounts and can send invoices and statements directly to customers while controlling direct debits.
