Promotion for PCS’ Dean Edwards

After leaving his job as a carpenter Dean joined MNA Media as part of their sales team, where he started working with PCS’ software solution for circulation, distribution, and subscriptions.

“I worked with PCS’ NCS product, and in those days, I was on the other side of the fence as the customer, but I really enjoyed working with the software,” he said.  “PCS and MNA Media are both part of the Claverley Group and, after being with the group for eight years, in 2018 I decided to join PCS as a product specialist. I was keen to work with PCS as there was plenty of scope to move up within the company.  Also, I understood the software systems and so the move was an easy decision to make.”

Dean said he enjoys a being in a role where he can create something that has huge benefits for the customer. “Before I joined MNA Media I was a carpenter and was based on site, building houses,” he said. “I really enjoy creating something, and so it is great to be part of a team that is working together to produce something new and exciting. My role involves helping customers out and building up a rapport with them. I get satisfaction from knowing I’m helping the customer and making their life easier, and stress-free.”

Working alongside Dean are developers who assist him with new projects and help implement software for publishers across the UK. “It’s great to work with new customers to implement PCS’ software and see how it changes the way they work for the better,” he said. “I’ve worked with Iliffe, Newsquest, MNA Media, and DC Thomson.

“Working with PCS enables me to see how things work and how new systems are created, which really interests me. The team I work with are brilliant and experts at what they do – even now I’m in awe at how well the solutions work to make life easier for publishers, it’s a fantastic company to be part of.”
